My order took way longer than the delivery estimate, and the tracking was almost useless. It would sit there for days with no updates, which made me feel like the package had vanished into some secret warehouse dimension nobody wanted to talk about.
By the time it finally showed up, I was more annoyed than excited. The product might be perfectly fine, but the whole shipping experience felt so off that I don’t think I’d order again.

I was relieved the first time I picked it up because I was worried it might feel like one more bulky thing to deal with. It’s super light and easy to carry, so tossing it in the car or bringing it out to the campsite hasn’t been a hassle at all. It also doesn’t take up much room, which is a big plus. After using it a few times, I’d say the portability is easily my favorite part.

I was kind of expecting the usual setup hassle, because somehow these things always manage to make it more complicated than it needs to be. But this one was actually really easy to get going. The steps were clear, I didn’t have to fiddle with much, and it was working quickly after I took it out of the box. it was simple and didn’t give me a headache, which feels like it shouldn’t be so rare.

I picked up a BioLite lantern and a small power bank for a few camping trips this year, and overall I’ve been happy with both. They worked right away, felt sturdy, and didn’t have that cheap, disposable vibe, which I appreciate since I’d rather buy things that last than keep replacing junk.

The battery life was close to what they advertised, though I did notice it dipped a little when the weather got cold. Even so, the power bank kept our phones charged and the lantern had no trouble staying on through the evening, which matters when people are relying on it around camp.

I’m knocking off a star mostly because shipping took longer than I expected, and the buttons can be a little annoying to use. But the gear itself did its job, and for camping, reliability feels like the fair trade-off I care about most. I’d buy from them again.

I’m not saying I expected this thing to survive anything, but it broke way faster than it should have. I used it normally, so it’s not like I was being rough with it. It just felt kind of flimsy from the start.

Support was helpful overall, but the warranty response was "pretty slow." I did get the help I needed in the end, it just took longer than I expected.

I got this light from bioliteenergy.com and yeah, it works, but the brightness was just okay. It’s totally fine if you’re using it in a tent or on a small table, but once I tried it outside, it felt a bit weak, ngl.

The different modes got old quick too. You have to keep clicking through a bunch of settings just to land on the one you actually want, which was lowkey annoying. Maybe some folks would like all the options, but for me it was more of a hassle than a bonus.

I’ve taken this on a couple trips now and the battery life has been good so far. It charged my phone faster than I was expecting, which was nice when I was stuck waiting around at the airport. Weirdly, I remember using it while sitting next to a vending machine that only sold orange soda, and it still had plenty of power left after topping up my phone. It’s not perfect, but overall it’s been a solid little charger.

This was disappointing. It took forever just to boil water and didn’t give off much heat at all. For what it cost, I expected a lot better. I reached out thinking there might be some kind of solution, but just got the usual “that’s our policy” type response, which was frustrating. I ended up going back to my old stove instead
